@tribal current do you have a bit more details? Is it all phone or a specific one?

tribal current
#

Sure, so here's an example of trying to use the Stripe Address element w/phone number enabled - https://stripe.com/docs/elements/address-element

The autofill is missing city, zip, phone on mobile.

If you do the same thing on desktop it works just fine.

#

Trying the same thing on a shopify checkout on the same mobile device autofills all fields properly

Can you provide a bit more specific details? Like when do you do "autofill" before you type the address? because I just tried clicking on the phone field and the autofill option works in that case

So on shopify, as soon as I click into the first name field, it autofills:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Country
  • Address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip
  • Phone

But on the stripe address element, if i click into the name field, it autofills:

  • Full name (or first/last if split)
  • Country
  • Address
  • State

It doesn't autofill City, Zip, Phone

Ignore Shopify, they have their entirely separate/own integration so it's not really relevant

I'm just using them as a good user experience

@tribal current how are you testing? That picture says stripe.com in the URL. Are you just on the docs?

tribal current
#

Yes, was testing right on the address element page to ensure it wasn't an issue on our site

#

we're seeing the same behavior on our site

spring pebble
#

What phone are you testing on exactly? Like exact browser version and exact model/OS

#

I tried on my Pixel 4 + Chrome and it works fine. One other person on my team did the same on their own phone and it works fine too. But with our docs and with our own integration for example

I'm testing on both Chrome and Safari on iPhone 12 Pro Max

Safari behavior between Address Element and Shopify is similar on iOS. Both don't autofill phone.

On Chrome on iOS that's where City, Zip, Phone don't autofill.

#

So seems like it's tied to that.

#

Which is good since thats a small % of traffic.

Gotcha, we're trying to repo give us a bit of time
