But it's not working in many countries

Yeah there's really nothing I can do about that here - India has a lot of compliance restrictions that really limit what we can support

Let's back up - what are you really asking about/trying to do?

If your question is just - can destination charges be supported for an India connect account then the answer is No unless the platform you're integrating with has been allowed to use custom connect which is very limited and only supported for some use cases (https://support.stripe.com/questions/stripe-india-support-for-marketplaces)

Really though, if you're the one planning to integrate with a specific platform you need to be talking to that platform directly

I'm not integrating, the platform guys got no clue, been chatting with them and they blame it on stripe, so i thought i should atleast know what's going on

The funny thing is, one of the platform printables.com is almost a billion dollar business, and they are just acting dumb now

Yeah what they're saying is correct - currently we don't support taking an application fee when the platform is outside india and the connected account is in india

Got it. I can make a bank account offshore and do it, but I have patreon working. The reason why I got curious is this new platforms got more customers 🙂

I'm certain that an application fee with a standard india connect account won't work if you have an non-India platform
