The code is fine, it has proration_behavior = 'always_invoice' so it generates an Invoice and attempt to charge immediately

The thing here is that triggered a 3D Secure requirement

As you can see if you click onto "requires you to take action...." events in the second screenshot

It's important. It can happen anytime you made a change to a Subscription or the Subscription just renew
