i don't think this will work

what we are trying to do is automatically end the subscription on the day before we renew for the next year. This way we know if users do not pay the yearly fee that their subsciption automatically is cancelled.

this feature will be promoted out of test mode.

Yes.

Test Clocks allow you to advance time in test mode.

So you can travel into the future by days, weeks, years, whatever makes sense to test what happens in the future.
