@tired arch yeah that's really impossible to do unfortunately
The objects are specific to the account the live in, there's no way to link them to the original account this way
maxv-connect-dashboard
If you use Custom accounts, you basically should never have a "payment" in the connected account and everything should always live in the platform (unless you're talking about the py_123 resulting from a Destination Charge?)
Hmm, can I add a link to the metadata? didn't really want to do that
Yeah I am talking about the destination charge
I wanted to connect that payments so it would be easier to find them (I know I can use the transfer to find the original payment)
So yeah the Charge ch_123 on the platform has a link to the Transfer, which has a link to the "destination payment" py_123" on the connected account and vice versa. Those links exists already so I'm not sure what you're trying to do
But no you can't put links in metadata that would properly work in the Dashboard at least I don't think so
I was trying to skip going through transfer (some of our support dont know about so I was trying to make it simpler)
Gotcha, I get what you mean now. I'd recommend training your support team on this if it were me instead but overall I agree
I see how it'd be valuable to do that though so I'll flag as a potential improvements. I have wanted something like this too when I debug things myself so I totally get it
@tired arch I'm curious if a picture like this helps? Someone on my team designed this to help train people with the various objects involved in a Destination Charge
Yeah will do that, though to make their(and ours) life easier,
Hmm yeah it would help a lot. Thank you!
It will also help other developers
yeah we're hoping to make this user-facing one day
but at least you can save this for your team
Yeah, it will help them a lot.
Thank you!
of course! Have a great day!
