It's completely up to the bank to request 3DS or not. So yes it's possible that after saving a card, 3DS will be requires. In this case you have to tell your customer to come back to your website/app and trigger the 3DS flow.

It will have a requires_confirmation status if it needs it.

But you can't know that in advance
