Are you in the same device with the same registered Google account?
Hi Orakaro,
Yes, testing on the same device with the same Google Account. Also confirmed Google Pay is enabled using the following link: https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button
Does your Connected Account enable GooglePay on their Dashboard?
Also how is the setting on your Platform on https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/payment_methods/connected_accounts
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
The Platform has Google Pay set to "Off by default" and the Connected Account has Google Pay enabled.
Okie, set it to On by default
We'd prefer not to as that will affect our other Connect users. Does the Platform need to be set to "On by default" even if the connected account has the payment method enabled?
Yes. This section is "These settings apply to payments created on your connected accounts using direct charges ". And what you described earlier is a direct charges (using platform key and a Stripe Account header)
Okay, thanks for clarifying that. Is there a reason why it sometimes does work? I haven't made any changes to the platform yet but now I can see the Google Pay option when making a direct charge.
Not sure what that is. It should respect the setting 🤔
It also states "Accounts can customise their settings." I would've assumed that this means if the connected account has enabled the payment method in their account I should be able to use that method for direct charges?
Umm I think this should take precedences. You could reach out to Support team to clarify to be sure 🤔
