On the first ever pair (so out of the box) to out android app is having some odd things happening with updates so we just want to see what the logs are saying

Ah ok. AFAIK that's not something you can capture yourself
What exactly is happening though?

It seems like it is installing an update, but there is no indication that it is so it sits for about 20 minutes
So we just wanted to see what was actually going on
If it was updating or if something else was going on. If it is updating that's no problem we jsut need to know so we can design a "terminal updating" screen of some sort so the user knows what is happening

I see we have this option, would this help with logging?

There are delegate methods that you can implement to listen for events such as when the reader is updating and so on...
We have a section in our docs dedicated to this 🙂
You can implement those methods to know when the reader starts updating, what's the progress and when it finishes the updates etc

The terminal SDK should log some information when you perform actions such as connection, collect payment etc
