Hi there ๐ apologies for the delay. It's a little hard for me to say definitively, because the bank displaying the transaction for the payout may be making their own modifications to the value we provide. Can you share the ID of the Payout associated with the descriptor you described, so I can try to see what we sent as the descriptor for that?
Hi there! No problem! ๐ It was the payout with ID po_1NYLMrRa36GjVakc0E3xt3VN on the connect account acct_1NTOd4Ra36GjVakc.
Thank you, taking a look.
I see some of the descriptor that you shared referenced, but I'm not seeing enough to be confident of what will change if you provide your own statement descriptor when creating the Payout. My suspicion, though it is admittedly a guess, is that the NOTPROVIDED value may get replaced. I would recommend reaching out to our Support team to see if they can provide a more definitive answer on that though.

Trying one more thing in my test account to see if I can get a more clear idea of what would happen.
Argh, that didn't give me any more insight, so my suggestion is to follow up with our Support team regarding this.

OK, thank you and this statement description can have a max length of 22 according to the docs, right?
I believe the 22 character limit applies to payment statement descriptors. I just created a manual payout with a 50-60 character long statement descriptor and did not encounter an error.
