If you use your Test API keys it will work fine in Test mode with your normal wallet really. We don't charge your card, we replace it with a test card as part of the flow

Hmm but I get an error when I try that:

Your card was declined. Your request was in test mode, but used a non test (live) card. For a list of valid test cards, visit: https://stripe.com/docs/testing

ah sorry I missed the word "Terminal" in your question my bad. So yeah I don't think it's possible today in Test mode sorry

Ah ok, thanks. For prioritization purposes, this would be really helpful. We didn't really think through Apple/Google pay with Terminal and rolled out our first couple locations, and ultimately had bugs when someone used Apple pay. If there was a testing strategy for it outlined in the testing page, we probably would have planned for it and checked these cases.

And now I was able to verify my patch works for the payment failure case, but it's unclear whether it will work for the success case and I just need to push it to production and 🤞

I flagged too so hopefully we can do this in the future, it's definitely a shortcoming we have right now
