I see, but we don't need their whole physical address, it is more like a, let's say, an audiobook or a video which the customer's physical address is not important at all. Do you know what the usual practice of seller who's selling similar product of ours?

If you are charging sales tax based on address, you'll need to collect address

Any other way of approximating location might not be accurate enough

Ok, do you know other technique to collect the sales tax? I'm pretty sure many digital goods providers collecting tax in some way without requiring the full address from customers (to optimize the user experience)

i feel like my questions could be beyond of Stripe's domain, but still asking just in case Stripe knows about this
