Hi 👋 it depends on whether you have the Hosted Onboarding flow configured to collect details to create External Accounts for Payouts. If that setting is on, then yes, the owner of the Connected Account will need to register/authenticate with Stripe.

We have an iOS app for "Service provider" where user has to add bank account details through Stripe pre-built UI.
We opted to create "Connect" "Custom" type account.

on registration through app we create account for user of custom type.

Does user has to create stripe account after that too?

Yes, the user will need to authenticate with Stripe during the hosted onboarding experience.
