Hi 👋

If you know the amount of the affirm fee you can increase the amount you set for the Payment Intent.

But there is no way to add it separately

but i only want this fee to be applied if user chooses affirm as payment method

i don't want to just simply increase the amount on creation of payment intent since i don't want the affirm fee to apply if they use another payment method such as credit card

In order to achieve that you may need to use one of our deferred intent integrations. In these caess you collect and create the Payment Method before you create the Payment Intent. This allows you to inspect the Payment Method and set the amount based on that.
