Did you set the customer's email to your exact account email? We restrict most emails in test mode. Some do get sent if you set the customer email to the exact email you use to log in, though refund emails may not be one of them
Also have you checked on the dashboard page for the refund to see if there is a button to manually send the email out? We usually have those in test mode for emails that we restrict sending automatically
Ah, sent the email and that worked. So, it'll send automatically in production, but just doesn't in test?
Exactly, in test mode we don't send emails automatically. As I understand it it is for costs and so we don't get marked as spam in prod
