Hello! Yes, I don't think you can use the reader with the older firmware until you update it.

You should be able to connect and update the firmware though.

Thank you for the response ….I am in the process of enabling card reader updates and don’t have too many readers with old firmware . Is there any way to simulate this for testing ??

Simulate a reader that requires a firmware update you mean?

I don't think so.

You could call the delegate methods yourself though if you wanted to test them.

Yes I want to test the workflow for updating the card reader firmware and would like do it in a simulated environment if possible

How do you recommend I test this before it is released to users

The closest you can come to that is calling your delegate methods yourself.
