many cases. Invoices are a certain way of integrating Stripe(https://stripe.com/docs/invoicing/integration), there are many ways that are not Invoices(e.g. https://stripe.com/docs/payments/accept-a-payment?platform=web&ui=elements)

We're using Stripe Checkout where the user can pay for our product all upfront via a onetime Price, or via an annual or monthly Subscription.
I understand it to be the case that Charges coming from onetime payments won't have an Invoice, but all Subscription payments should, right?

though you can also configure Checkout to issue an invoice for one-time payments too https://stripe.com/docs/api/checkout/sessions/create#create_checkout_session-invoice_creation
