What's the context here? Might be best to work with your account manager directly since it seems like they know all the context here
So my company bought out another company. My company has some extra stuff on our contract (ie: accelerated payouts...1 business day instead of 2, and other things).
He said he wouldn't be able to apply these modifiers to the other company's Stripe account...we would have to make a new Stripe account that's under our existing contract.
The company we bought has custom connected accounts on it. So if we need to make a new Stripe account under this other contract, then we need to migrate those custom connected accounts from their old master account to the new one.
He said there's a way to do this, where we do all the work as documented by Stripe's API docs
but I couldn't find the docs
He told us we'd be able to migrate a custom account to be under this new master/parent account, but I was looking for some documentation to validate this and to understand the complexity of that process.
There must have been a misunderstanding here. It's not possible to "move" a connected custom/express account to another platform account.
Any accounts from the original platform that need to be on the new one would have to be re-onboarded
