Hi 👋 you should use the API key associated with the Account that the Event was generated for (please let me know if you're using Connect as I may need to word that more explicitly).

The signing secret you use should be the one belonging to the webhook endpoint that is receiving the Event, if you have the same URL configured as an endpoint on multiple Accounts you'll want to make sure you're using the signing secret for the endpoint for the account that the Event belongs to.
