Hi there
Hey
We do provide a Customer Portal that you can integrate. Have you taken a look at our docs here: https://stripe.com/docs/customer-management yet?
Yes, I have seen and tested them. Here you can edit a plan and choose a different subscription. However, we have one basic module per customer (which everyone has) and 0 or more other subscriptions. Unfortunately, this does not fit our requirements.
Sorry I don't really understand. Will need more details... what doesn't fit your requirements?
A customer has the following subscriptions
One of the two (basic subscription):
Standard €50 or Premium €100
Then he can also choose additional subscriptions:
Additional subscription 20€, additional subscription 30€,..
Now, when all this is completed, he should have the opportunity to deselect these subscriptions or to select any subscriptions, or to change the basic subscription.
The current customer portal is not designed (to my knowledge) to manage a basic subscription (e.g. €50) and additional subscription (€20 & €30).
Assuming I deactivate my €30 subscription, it would be good if we could get an overview that the buyer can understand with the Stripe UI.
And a kind of checkout page where it says:
Subscription is updated
Standard €50
Additional subscription 20€
- Additional subscription 30€
=Total 70
Confirm
*minus Additional subscription 30€
Hmmm yeah the UI might not be perfect for what you are looking for in terms of that explanation but the Customer Portal should handle this ability to allow the Customer to cancel one of these Subscriptions while maintaining the other ones.
Real?
I was in the CustomerPortal settings, and here I can only select an alternative plan under "Change plan". But that's not enough because we want to manage multiple subscriptions
Hmmm I don't recall there being a limitation when a Customer has multiple Subscriptions. And we don't mention it here: https://stripe.com/docs/customer-management#customer-portal-limitations
You tested a Customer having multiple Subscriptions and you could not cancel just one of them?
Yes, I tested it, it looks like this, only one can be selected
Oh I thought you meant only one Subscription would show up. You want to modify two Subscriptions in one sequence? Instead of the customer just doing them serially?
For example, the customer should switch from standard to premium, and the additional subscriptions are again a separate topic. but here they are all displayed and you can only select one
So for this specific example you only want to allow them to update this Subscription from Standard to Premium but the issue is that 3 options for an upgrade are showing?
For example, he could select Premium and additionally "Feldverwaltung". Or Standard and "Feldverwaltung". However, only 1 of 3 can be selected here instead of 2 of 3
Ah okay in that case you would have to bundle those together into one Price for Customer Portal to work
So you would need each option explicitly as a Price
Otherwise you are correct that you would have to build this yourself right now and Customer Portal won't be a good fit
Okay, so I would have to set a price for "Standard & Field Management" and a price for "Premium & Field Management" otherwise there is no other way
Correct
