If you complete the form in the split form component using an AMEX test card, the complete flag for CVC is set to true with 3 digits

Looks like there has been some research done and the 3-digit number on Amex cards is usually valid. Disallowing it would lower conversion so it was decided to note this as complete as well

Ah okay, but if an amex card has a 4 digit cvc and they only enter 3, would a payment still go through or would it fail?

Or are you saying some amex cards can be issued with 3 digit cvcs?

Yeah the latter

Many do have 3 digit CVCs

In terms of whether the payment goes through that is completely dependent on the issuer approving or declining the Auth
