but I don't want to upsell in the annual config but there isn't an option to switch back to monthly in that case

I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean. Your picture here is for a monthly Price with an upsell to yearly which you configured in your Dashboard, that's what I explained

the picture on the right is the config for yearly subscription, there is no upsell there, but I want an option to toggle back to monthly on that yearly checkout page

yeah that's not something we support/offer at all

You basically want a "downsell" I guess and we don't offer that
