Unless these accounts are connected to each other as platform <> connected account, there's no way to send funds between them

Yes, they are connected accounts are under the platform account.

In transfers api documentation, I see the destination account but I don't see the source account to specify (from account to pull the funds from)

In the documentation, I see
Create a transfer
To send funds from your Stripe account to a connected account, you create a new transfer object

Can it be done the other way - send funds from connected account to your platform account? @coarse zenith

If so, you can create an account debit

Even if both accounts (platform and connected account ) are in the same region.
