i want to update the subscription plan from pro plan to growth plan, and i want to charge them right away and i have to show updated invoice after this subscription update

Now i have question that do i need to create payment intent first and take the payment and update the subscription plan or after doing this subscription update is stripe will take care of payment?

No, Stripe takes care of creating an Invoice for the proration.
