You will need to create the link but then your customer will be able to connect their Stripe account to your platform account
Got it and by platform account do you mean the stripe connect product?
If you are offering a service that requires connection to an existing Stripe account then that makes you the Platform account
okay, so my stripe account was connected to my company's stripe account, but when I went to look at how to setup the oath connection it looks like it disconnected me from my company's stripe account? Is there any way to go back?
Do you mean re-connect to the Company account?
Yes, I'm not sure how this happened
Unfortunately they would need to initiate the re-connection. That isn't something I could do
okay but how could this happen? I just went to settings and looked at the connect product and it disconnected me

No i don't, I wasn't given any notification that this was about to happen
I don't think looking at Connect settings in your dashboard would trigger a disconnection. But this is an account issue so I can't really help with that. Your best bet is to reach out to Support: https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
