we have a system has set the ID on plans for many years. I wanted to move to prices but i really wanted to continue to set the ID..

Then you can't move to Prices really and have to stay on Plan

what does "the type" mean?

Plan is solely for recurring payments so it's like a recurring Price

you can never use this for one_time and you can never set your own id on Price for one_time
