Nope that library has its own components that are completely separate from Elements

hmm ok, i guess what is the difference between the two elements if we were to use either?

Card Element only collects credit cards while Payment Element supports collecting many different payment method types

but programmically under the hood they do the same thing except that the card element is limited to only "credit cards"

Pretty much yeah. The Elements themselves are just the frontend UI really.
