Hey, apologies for the long delay here. This is happening because the API calls are providing the discount code on both the invoice itself and the invoice item. We're going to need to file with the engineering team to see if this is expected and to potentially fix it.
In the meantime, you can change your code to only provide the discount to either the invoice or the invoice item and then the discount should only apply once
