Can you clarify what you are really trying to do?

the user pays the price for membership, but the amount of tax is not reflected in the invoice they receive

yes, Im developer. I'm using Stripe customer portal for collecting the payments (user gets redirect there, choose membership and then pays)

I'm really sorry, you're giving me only a few words each time with no details. The CustomerPortal can not be used to start a Subscription. So you must be using something else. And I need you to try and be clear/crisp about your integration so that I can help you.

I assume you're using Checkout: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout is that correct?
