Hi 👋 can you share the ID of a Payment Intent where you saw that behavior?

Sorry, but what is a the ID of a Payment Intent? It is a normal bank transfer in Germany.

The Payment Intent is the Stripe object that represents a payment being made, its ID should start with a pi_ prefix. Let's take a step back though, how are you integrating with Stripe?

Gotcha, so you didn't build the integration and aren't familiar with its inner workings? If so, I would recommend reaching out to the support team of the platform you're using (looks like IONOS) to help explain why the integration they build is surfacing this error message and what it means.

Some types of payment methods, show up like a debit on a customer's account until the authorization is removed by the customer's bank. I'm not sure if Sofort also behaves this way, but it's possible.

ok, thanks a lot. I will ask them first.
