There shouldn't really be a difference here between Dashboard vs. API.

It likely has to do with the type of PaymentMethod or how much the refund is.

Do you have two example requests (one Dashboard and one API) you can provide me that I can look at?

Yeah these are 6 hours apart so it depends on the negative balance of your account at that time

The API is no different here

There are other controls in place for when you have exceeded your max negative balance and you can't issue more pending refunds

I can assure you the balance is still negative

#

due to the express accounts payout schedule we are in a daily cycle in which we are negative all day, and after payouts are processed we gain all the balance back. our reserved funds keep growing and not being released. pending refunds get processed eventually at the next day. but customers being unable to balance is a major issue for us
