Hi 👋

How are you creating the ACH payment method?

dreamy tree
#

They are paying an invoice

errant mauve
#

And yes this would cause delays in verification

#

In this scenario it might make more sense to create and verify the account first then charge it

dreamy tree
#

what do you mean

#

we are sending invoices and they are using the payment links

#

how do we create and verify the account firsT?

errant mauve
#

Well I guess if you don't have a front-end you control then it will be hard.

dreamy tree
#

won't there still be an issue where they have to verify via microdeposits

#

so if they set up a few on the same day

#

it will still be confusing

#

pi_3N3lb4AOQd0fR4gD3h4UzCl0 here are some examples of the same bank account

If your users are generating multiple verification sessions for the same bank account then it's up to the bank how long it takes

#

i know, i'm not worried about the timing

#

i'm just worried that they're not going to know which account they're verifying for

#

bc all the deposits look the same in their bank account

#

like it looks like they did it incorrectly here: req_hKqZRZcvnt424C

errant mauve
#

Yeah that should likely be avoided

dreamy tree
#

there's no way for us to help them know which is which?

#

this seems problematic...

errant mauve
#

You are using payment links which are very convenient but don't offer a lot in the way of customization. It sounds like people are rushing the verification process and causing this issue

dreamy tree
#

how are they rushing verification?

#

if we did the front end validation it'd be the same issue...right?

#

if they set them all up on the same day they'd still have the issue where the microdeposits are not specifying the account they set up for

errant mauve
#

Not if you use instant verification insted of microdeposits

dreamy tree
#

how do you do that

errant mauve
#

Stripe will default to instant verification if the customer's bank supports it

dreamy tree
#

got it so then it's not about our checkout flow

#

this would be an issue either way

errant mauve
#

Yes and this is something your customers need to resolve with their bank. If it's a company account the bank should be responsive to their requests
