OK. I'm updating our checkout process from Card Element to Payment Element and Link Authentication Element.
I am able to create a purchase and customer and payment method. However, when I go to create a second purchase, it does not have the SMS code input box popup for the Link Authentication Element, when the email is prefilled.
Or when I manually type the email... it never does the SMS code.
I have not tried that, as I want to use the existing card attached to my customer. But I don't see why it would fail.
👋 stepping in for my teammate!
I assume you're following this guide? https://stripe.com/docs/payments/link/accept-a-payment?platform=web&ui=elements&link-integration-type=at-payment&client=html
I have 20 tabs open, and that is one of them. We need to charge the same card later, so I'm using SetupIntent, as shown here: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/link/save-and-reuse#charge-saved-payment-method
I was told that I need to have a customer in my test account to have the SMS code entry pop up for Link, when the email (same as customer) is entered. I've done that, but still not seeing the Link sms pop up.
Also, when I enter the card, there was no option in the Payment Element to save it for Link either.
After typing that, I just realized my Link in the Payment Element setting was toggled off 🤦♂️
It seems to be working now... thanks for rubber ducking with me lol
Sure thing, glad you figured it out!
