Hi. Yes, that's correct. If you want to do separate charges and transfers, only US-registered Platforms can do this cross-border.

Is there any way to make it so that users (creators) just connect their card/banking accounts, rather than being redirected to Stripe to go through the flow of connecting a Stripe account?

No, they need to go through the onboarding to receive payouts.

What if there is no way to register a Stripe in the user's (creator) country?
What kind of onboarding does you mean? To make their own Stripe account or to just add their banking account with a few extra infos?

I am not sure this is possible. They will need to provide their registration details to be allowed to receive payouts.
