the No I dont have an example. we are in designing stage. I mean when an invoice is already generated for a subscription and sent to customer for payment. Customer add a purchase order to be added to their current invoice. can we add the PO the existing invoice and update it? or we need to void the invoice and create a new one?

once the invoice is finalized and sent to the customer for payment, you can't edit the line_items anymore. I wouldn't recommend voiding that current invoice for the subscription. Instead, consider creating a one-off invoice for that additional item.

It is not an additional line item, but only a PO like adding meta-data to the current invoice

i'm not super familiar with how a purchase order works. If you just want to add metadata to the Invoice, you can do so any time : https://stripe.com/docs/api/invoices/update#update_invoice-metadata

maybe you can share where exactly in the invoice you're looking to see this data? a screenshot and the exact data / details you want to see indicated in the screenshot would be good

in the header of the invoice for example... I dont have any example yet. Is really ideas on how design our payment process
