Um that may be on Apple side and they don't reveal the customer name and email. I am not aware of an option to tell Apple to give you that info, unfortunately
I'm able to get email when using the PaymentRequestButton with the option https://stripe.com/docs/js/payment_request/create#stripe_payment_request-options-requestPayerEmail but can't find an equivalent for PaymentElement
Yeah I know. Payment Request Button has the option
Hmm ok thanks. Seems weird that the PaymentRequestButton has the option but the not the PaymentElement. We were hoping to migrate everything to the PaymentElement -- but this is a bit of a blocker. I hoped I was just missing something
I can confirm it isn't available for PaymentElement, and also mobile if you were to integrate in iOS directly. It's a known limitation
Sorry
Are there any plans to fix it?
Is there any backlog item to make the option available in Payment Element, like it is in Payment Request Button?
Could you help us work with our Stripe account manager to get this fixed/sponsored? The names or job titles of individuals or teams who understand this limitation would be useful.
Or Discord usernames
I will forward your feedback for sure, but I wouldn't be able to share a timeline. If you already have a Stripe AM you could also deliver the feedback to them.
Great! Thank you.
How can we help our AM speak to the right engineers/POs that understand this limitation, to get it appropriately sponsored/prioritized?
Who did you speak to, to determine it is a "known limitation"?
It's on my knowledge that I have seen similar ask before. Our team often collect user feedback and log it to product engineering team
