#

was this the code you were looking for

Both the Event (evt_...) and the PaymentIntent (pi ...) details show a reason for the failed charge. Are you able to see that?

gleaming shadow
#

says failed cvc?

#

i saw the do not honor code, but if this is a common occurance im not going to be able to use stripe services and switch to another. i was hoping there was something we could do to make their cards not decline

desert shadow
#

Declined charges can be due to many things but, in case of a do_not_honor code, the only solution is to have the customer reach out to their bank

gleaming shadow
#

i realize that but the other customers code was generic and the solution for that is also have them call their bank. I do not want to deter customers from making purchases for having to jump through hoops

#

is there something we can do like extra security so they dont get declined?

#

cause if we dont find a solution ill have to switch companies and i dont want to do that

desert shadow
#

Not sure I follow. Declines are a normal part of accepting payments. There's no way to guarantee that all charges will succeed 100% of the time

gleaming shadow
#

ive never once had a payment decline from using paypal

#

but their rates are higher which is why i switched to stripe
