As far as I know Subscription description is used for other things, like the customer portal, or the dashboard. It wouldn't be surface in the Checkout Session.

Ah. Okay. Is there another way to get a dynamic description in there for Checkout that I’m not seeing? I don’t want to use price_data

Can I reference an existing product and override with price_data.product_data?

If you're using an existing product you can set price_data.product and provide that product ID

Ah nevermind. I actually need the price Id too. Gah! All I’m looking to do is add some price related description data to the checkout page for a subscription. There’s gotta be a way to do that right. It seems so basic.

Yeah sorry there isn't an easier way around this - there's a lot of logic on our end that does into how the Checkout page is displayed, and there's not a lot of flexibility in the description unfortunately

It’s just some seat/tier related info. If you create tiered pricing for subscription does it give tier info in Checkout?

Just tested it out quickly - it wouldn't give you the specifics of the tiers
