@gusty obsidian the Invoice email in this case is only sent after a successful payment so that's why nothing is emailed. Setting a fake paymeht method is definitely not okay.
I'd recommend talking to our support team to guide you towards a better solution based on the right account settings in your Dashboard.

i talked to them already it doesn't seem like there is a setting for this

I do not, sorry. I don't know much about Dashboard settings and automated emails unfortunately so talking to our support team is the best option

@exotic thorn is there a specific support channel i should use? when i spoke to them they said that i could try my fake payment method idea and see what happened

i just used the basic "have stripe call me" one

you definitely should not do a "fake payment method" that will never work

And I wouldn't use the call option, I'd write in a clear and detailed report with a clear and specific example customer and Invoice and have the support team help
