There is a beta functionality for issuing unlinked refunds so that a refund does not link to any charge. You would want to reach out to Support to see if you qualify for that program.

Otherwise, no all Refunds need to be linked to Charges and the amount refunded cannot exceed the amount charged.

@drifting mortar We do recommend doing each Refund for each previous payments separately. I don't think the beta my colleague mentioned would be a fit for you here

Because that beta is not accepting any new users and that won't work for your business. You need to refund each separate payment

It won't work since we can't add you to the beta since no one new can be added to the beta. So you have to approach it the way I described. Sorry I'm not sure how else to explain this, we shouldn't have mentioned this beta in the first place.
