Hey @covert fern, each Customer should have its own virtual IBAN and it would be on their Invoice

covert fern
#

Thanks @keen shadow - as far as I can see there's no IBAN. I have the Sort Code, Account Number, Account Holder Name & Reference

#

But not an IBAN

#

Same when I click on the payment link in the invoice and select "Bank Transfer"

keen shadow
#

I'm sorry, I don't really follow you, you're only giving me bits of information. If you see sort code it means you are likely using UK Bank Transfers for a GBP Subscription in which case there'd be no IBAN

covert fern
#

Ah okay - so is the virtual account associated with the subscription rather than our company?

keen shadow
#

yes

covert fern
#

I see

#

So I'll need to create a new subscription and sign the customer up to that to create an IBAN they can use?

keen shadow
#

Not really no. You likely already created a real Subscription in GBP for that Customer and so they need to pay it in GBP from the UK

covert fern
#

That's not going to be possible as they're a Canadian company.

keen shadow
#

oh boy lol

#

If they are a Canadian company, they can not use this at all

#

Bank Transfers are country specific, if you are a UK company then you can accept GBP bank transfers from within the UK

#

Sorry I think there was a lot of misunderstanding here

covert fern
#

You need more info on that in the user journey

#

Maybe I missed it but

keen shadow
#

Yeah that's fair

covert fern
#

So what's the best way to make it possible for this company to pay us via bank transfer?

#

Or is it impossible because we're a UK company?

keen shadow
#

yes it's impossible

covert fern
#

Ah ok

#

Is it on your roadmap?

keen shadow
#

As a UK company you can only accept bank transfers from within the UK in GBP.

covert fern
#

Sounds like not

#

Then what's the point of an IBAN?

keen shadow
#

I don't get what IBAN has to do with that unfortunately

covert fern
#

Whole purpose of a UK IBAN is to accept international payments no?

keen shadow
#

If you were a business based in France you could accept bank transfers in EUR to an IBAN from within Europe.

covert fern
#

Hmm I mean - UK -> UK accounts for GBP payments require a sort code & account number. If UK IBAN is only another way to identify the bank and can only accept payments in GBP from other UK accounts - it's kinda superfluous right?

keen shadow
#

Sure sorry but you started saying "I can't find the IBAN" so that's what I was helping with. As a UK business there's just no IBAN you can offer as far as I know

#

covert fern
#

Ah I gotcha

keen shadow
#

So yeah I think I misunderstood your goal early on and then we went down the wrong path 😦

covert fern
#

All good - I guess its hard to triage if you can't see the specific account / setup

keen shadow
#

yeah and it was quite busy at the same time, Tuesday mornings are always fun :p

covert fern
#

Maybe a different question then - if I want to add my own bank's IBAN onto an invoice from Stripe - I'm assuming I can add a line onto the regular invoice to make that possible?

#

I guess you're on EST then rather than BST
