we offer a product as a trial, where customer pays shipping, and in 30 days pays full price, we have alot of customer with insufficient funds when the trial is over. I want to do a pre-auth charge when they place their order to make sure they have the funds to pay for the order once the trial ends

are you familar with how to set up a pre-authorization charge to make sure the customer has available funds

Gotcha - and is the shipping something paid at the start of the trial, or after the 30 days?

yes shipping on day 1 and then day 30 we charge the full price, however alot of customers have insufficient funds when it comes to charging full price on day 30. So we want to do a temp charge to make sure they have available funds greater than the cost of shipping

is it possible to setup a temp chard (pre-authorization) to make sure they have the funds to cover the purchase on day 30

I don't think there's a good way for you to make a "pre-auth" on day 1 like that
