So you mean a custom connected account created by 1 Platform but couldn't verify, and then the 2nd Platform can't create a custom connected account for them anymore?
@muted raft somewhat.. here it is platform 1 created a custom account for user the user did not create it. platform 2 requires that upon sign up ID verification is performed and it is through stripe. Stripe can not verify because platform 1 holds the user's selling freedom within their app. The crazy part about this is that platform 2 allows you to receive payments through pay pal once account is set up. Platform 1 /offerup platform 2/whatnot.

As for Whatnot, we really apologise as we don't exactly have the idea on how they manage their identification process. I also suggest you reach out to them, especially if your account is connected to them. Please know that for Stripe connect, the identification process is handled by the platform itself.

Mind you that no matter what is said here the problem still remains, stripe is refrained from verifying the user because of its verification already performed with custom account on the other platform.

And I have invested all my money on inventory because of whatnots performance and future. I'm not lying when I say I'm about to become homeless because of this stupid problem. I have probably one of the largest inventories of vintage to modern jewelry and time pieces on these platforms and I did this because I should be making $6000 a month to start.
B u t you found me out and probably moved on from this topic. Both platforms lead to offer up and they do not respond.

I can confirm the account above is a Custom Connected Account and indeed is connected to OfferUp. I am not sure how Whatnot plays a role here or how would they be another Platform. But they mentioned your identity verification is stuck on OfferUp and that might be the only path forward

You could ask Whatnot to further clarify this point, as whether they have a separate Stripe account and will connect to your account or not, to have more context. But as of Stripe point of view I only see your connection with OfferUp
It's my identification I have proof of myself and I have that notarized stripe terms and user rights say I have right to request what has been done said etc in my name so why can't I have stripe terminate offerup account.
I am not sure about it and you would want to ask Stripe Support for such an action. I am not sure if it's possible without confirmation from OfferUp anyway
