@marble crown Usually the type of charges you use depends on the type of connected accounts. Direct Charges would be used for Standard accounts and Destination Charges would be for Express and Custom accounts

If your platform has both types of accounts then yes that's expected

Thanks. Can either type of charge be used for Express accounts? My platform is a "marketplace facilitator", and some types of transactions should be destination charges, whereas Tap to Pay charges (initiated by the connected account itself) should be direct charges.

No we actively discourage using Direct Charges for any of of those. There should be no reason to do this differently from Tap To Pay

But there IS a [good] reason - specifically, the nature of the transactions are quite different (in person vs. online). The merchant handles TTP at their physical location, whereas all aspects of ONLINE purchases are managed through the platform and its customer-facing web UI.
