Hi. We want to use Auth/Cancel to verify the validity of cards, and get back specific decline codes for problem cards. Are there any usage limits on Auth/Cancel? Know it's not really meant for that. But if we start doing a bunch of them are we going to get flagged / penalized or anything? or is it all good if we cancel them properly?
Oh I see. One thing to note is you will be charged for the authorizations on the card. We have an auth fee. I can't say whether or not that will flag your account for anything though. I recommend talking to support to see if they have any insight on that: https://support.stripe.com. We just help developers with API integrations in here

How much is the Auth fee?
And how long typically does it take for a canceled Auth to be removed from the Payer's credit card statement?
I don't know about how much we charge for fees. Would be another good question for support. Hard to say on how long it takes for an auth to be removed. Depends on the bank
