The best way to do this would be to enable the email settings under the "Manage payments that require confirmation" section found at https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.

The reason I ask is that I did not get the email in test mode
yup that looks right!
and yeah, not getting those emails in test mode is expected (we don't send those emails in test mode at all)
