Overall setting up the PaymentMethod for future use off_session is the most important. You can do that on the first charge of the Subscription, or you can do it ahead of creating the Subscription, depending on your use-case. After that we will apply for a 3DS exemption for your customer and almost all banks will honor that. However, there is always the possibility that the bank requires 3DS (sometimes they use this as fraud prevention for example), so you should always be ready to bring your customer back on-session to complete 3DS if necessary.
