hello! using expand will always affect the length of time needed to process the request to a certain degree. However, since the alternative is making two (or in some cases, more) separate requests, a little more time needed to process the request is probably acceptable. in most cases, there probably won't be any significant performance implications. I'd suggest just testing it out
