Hello! I believe we'd only add on Sales Tax to your invoices if you have Stripe Tax enabled (which it sounds like you don't if you're already using AvaTax)

Hi! So I'm going off this email we received a bit ago, when I go to the "more about this change" link, it seems like our products (recurring subscriptions) will be charged tax by default, I don't see anything about enabling Stripe Tax. Would you be able to direct me to something that talks about that?
I'm going based off the information from this page (https://support.stripe.com/questions/sales-tax-on-stripe-fees-and-products-for-businesses-based-in-the-united-states) - we'll be collecting taxes on fees for your usage of Invoices/other products

I just came across some information and was hoping you could clarify. Is the new tax policy going to affect the amount charged to the customers (like sales tax) or is it just going to be a tax for us as the merchant?
It should just be a tax for your (as the merchant) - but if you want some more clarify I'd recommend talking directly to support (https://support.stripe.com/contact)

I appreciate it, I'm actually talking to both you and support right now in different windows, as long as I can confirm that our users will not be getting charged double tax (tax from stripe on subscriptions and our current Avalara tax integration), and that it is instead a tax on us, then I think that's all I need
