[9:47 AM]bismarck: I'm seeing the same behavior for both cards -- the event fires once I complete the Zip
[9:49 AM]Amirtha: this.paymentElements = this.paymentClient.elements()
const field = this.paymentElements.create(value.stripeElement, {style: paymentStyles, classes: paymentClasses })
[9:56 AM]bismarck: Hmm and can you show me your change event handler?
[9:56 AM]bismarck: Is there somewhere I can repro what you are seeing or is this local?
Can you address the last messages in the thread?
So the event only fires if they select a new field. Is that the summation of the problem?
yes it happens only for 6200 0000 0000 0005
only for this card the event fires only if they select a new field or focus out of card number element
Are you seeing this behavior in live mode with live mode cards?
Gotcha. Okay, how many other cards have you tested? Like, when you say it's "only for this card", which other ones have you tried?
we used the test cards in stripe and faced the issue for this one
Yes, but there are like 40+ different cards, so I'm trying to understand if it truly is just this one, or if there might be others
ohh not sure on that we have used a couple of them but the testing team came back with specific card
Let me know if you need any detail
Do you have a test environment I can visit to see this in action?
let me see...
I doubt because its restricted to internal use
Doesn't the video help?
I just haven't been able to reproduce it. Every time I add this card to the form, I have to enter zipcode before I get the event
Can you share your actual event listener code snippets here? From what you describe it doesn't sound like there's anything special happening there, but I'd like to see the details
Sure, that'd be great if you could repro there to poke at it
sure
Will do, thanks for the repro
Okay, so yeah, that codepen helped a lot. I'm going to file this with the product eng team and get it looked at, as it doesn't seem intended. I would say that you're probably okay to rely on the event you get from all the other cards for the time being, though do let us know if you're seeing this behavior in a live setting as well.
If you want to get updated about how the conversation is going with the product eng team, you'll need to create a support thread (https://support.stripe.com/contact/email) and DM me your email, so I can dig up the thread and respond to it.

I'm sorry I dint quite get that
I had a chat with them and they told an email will be sent out
Yep! What's the email of the account you were signed into when you filled out the form?
I have sent you a DM with the details
Awesome! I'll follow up later today
Thank you! Any ETA on when could I hear back on the issue
it just depends on how fast the product team can get to it. usually we have some sort of response within 24 hours
