Yes I think so. If the coupon lasts X months, then it will lasts X months even if there is a trial period

That's possible but it requires more work: use a subscription schedule (which doesn't work with Checkout Session) https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/subscription-schedules

I think it would be simpler to just extend the duration of the coupon.
